Care Guide: Sterling Silver
OXIDIZATION ( TARNISH )
Sterling silver can naturally darken over time. This happens when it’s exposed to moisture, chemicals or even your skin oils. This is normal and not a fault.
Common causes include:
* Skin oils and lotions
* Moisture in the air
* Heat
* Sulfur and other gases in the environment
Tarnish can be easily removed with the sterling silver polishing cloth provided.
To reduce oxidisation, avoid exposing your jewellery to perfumes, body sprays, creams, hair products, and other chemicals. Improper care that leads to oxidisation is not considered a fault.
STORAGE
When not wearing your jewellery, keep your rings in the airtight bag and jewellery pouch/box provided. This protects them from moisture and slows down tarnishing.
